VOTER ALERTS A.B. 321 establishes the use of mail ballots in every election. All active registered voters in the state of Nevada will be sent a mail ballot. Voters may still vote in person at a designated polling location in Nye County. Voters may opt out of receiving a mail ballot no later than 60 days before the election by submitting a mail ballot preference form to the Nye County Clerk or online through the Nevada Secretary of State. Voters must opt back in if they wish to receive a mail ballot if they have previously opted out. Voters may still vote in person even if they have received a mail ballot but they must either surrender their ballot at the voting location or, if they do not have their ballot, sign an affirmation that they are not voting twice in the same election. Individuals registering 13 days before the election will not be sent a mail ballot and will have to vote in person except for in an emergency.
