use
of
mail
ballots
in
every
election.
All
active
registered
voters
in
the
state
of
Nevada
will
be
sent
a
mail
ballot.
Voters
may
still
vote
in
person
at
a
designated
polling
location
in
Nye
County.
Voters
may
opt
out
of
receiving
a
mail
ballot
no
later
than
60
days
before
the
election
by
submitting
a
mail
ballot
preference
form
to
the
Nye
County
Clerk
or
online
through
the
Nevada
Secretary
of
State.
Voters
must
opt
back
in
if
they
wish
to
receive
a
mail
ballot
if
they
have
previously opted out.
Voters
may
still
vote
in
person
even
if
they
have
received
a
mail
ballot
but
they
must
either
surrender
their
ballot
at
the
voting
location
or,
if
they
do
not
have
their
ballot,
sign
an
affirmation
that
they
are
not
voting
twice in the same election.
Individuals
registering
13
days
before
the
election
will
not
be
sent
a
mail
ballot
and
will
have
to
vote
in
person
except
for
in
an
emergency.
